Finance Manager Role
Setting up robust financial management systems across the business and ensuring a tight and well-ordered financial ship. Tasks to include, but not limited to, the following: –
- Cashflow management including a weekly cashflow snapshot.
- Leading the weekly finance review with the Account Directors to gather all relevant information and ensure the revenue pipeline is accurate and up to date.
- Lead the sales invoicing process within the agency.
- Ownership of creditor and debtor status, updating the team weekly where required.
- Oversee and approve weekly payment runs.
- Owning payroll; ensuring all new starters are communicated to the external accountants and organised on a timely basis.
- Production – uploading final estimates and issuing 3rd party POs accordingly to suppliers and tracking job bags as invoices hit.
- Working with external accountants; providing them with information with regards to new clients, maintenance of Quickbooks Online, monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
- Signing off final agreed fee scope and raising draft invoices once PO received from client.
- Providing ad-hoc financial analysis to the management team in order to aid their understanding of the overall financial performance of the business, including making proactive suggestions for changes to financial processes where relevant.
What we need to see (essential):
- Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA) with at least 5 years’ experience in an industry finance role
- Advanced excel skills
- Confident communication ability
- Preferably experience of working within a finance team at a marketing agency
- Experience within a growing business ideal
